Aplus FLV to AVI Converter is a video converter for Windows. It allows you to convert not only FLV files, but also AVI, DIVX, XVID, MPEG, WMV, ASF, VCD, MOV, SWF, VOB, and NSV files into AVI files. The codec used for AVI encoding is XviD, and that is the only output format supported, which is very weak for a converter that sells for $24.95.
In terms of performance, I found that this converter works very well. I couldn't find any problems with the conversion process itself. I tested it with two different files: an FLV file and a DivX AVI file. I converted both files to different resolutions using the video size drop-down menu, and the resulting files played well. The audio was OK and so was the video. The only problem I found was that the output folder is set to D: by default, and I didn't have a D: drive, so the application wasn't responding well. That was easily solved, though.
Graphically, this converter is pretty basic. It doesn't have many conversion settings, and the video profiles for specific devices only differ in resolution, which isn't really much optimization if you ask me.
